Blackbird Hits the Big Screen: Warren Miller 77 Snowmobile Adventure with Katie Burrell & Mason Machon
Updated: Aug 23
Big Stoke Alert: Exciting News About My Feature in Warren Miller 77!
I’m pumped to announce I’ll be featured in Warren Miller 77, the newest chapter of the iconic ski and snowboard film series. This year, the ultra-funny and insanely talented Katie Burrell is running the show, with Outside as the fresh new owner. They are bringing bold energy to a legendary brand.
Epic Snowmobile Adventure
We filmed an epic snowmobile adventure in the rugged Pemberton backcountry. I had the pleasure of ripping through the snow with Katie and the always-entertaining Mason Machon. Expect big laughs, wild terrain, and that pure mountain fun that’ll have you grinning the whole way through.
The project stayed nicely under wraps, which is classic Warren Miller vibes. However, the media buzz is growing fast. I can’t wait for release day so the whole crew can check it out!
A Special Collaboration
Working with Katie again makes this extra special. We previously teamed up on the Ikons Pass “Heartbreak Hills” media campaign. That was a hilarious video series that captured serious laughs and good times. Knowing Katie and her team, I trust them completely to deliver something fun, authentic, and high-energy. When she called me for this snowmobile mission, I knew it was going to be a blast.
Indigenous Voices in Action Sports
As a proud Anishinaabe leader from Lacs Des Mille Lacs First Nation, these opportunities keep opening more doors for Indigenous voices in action sports. It’s important for us to share our stories and experiences in these thrilling environments.
I believe that fostering strong, respectful Indigenous relations within the ski and snowboard industry is crucial. It drives reconciliation and shared success for all parties involved. I’m excited to be part of this movement and to showcase the beauty of our culture through action sports.
What to Expect
Stay tuned! This segment is going to deliver laughs and serious stoke. I can’t wait for everyone to experience the joy and excitement we captured on film.
